Dear all

When I finally get to the point of having my Bulgarian residence card I wish to buy a new car.聽 Has anyone here done this and if so is it the same as UK dealers.聽聽Is the registration dealt with by the dealers ?

Not a problem at all. I just bought a new Kia. The dealer dealt with everything with one exception. Both he and I had to go to a Notary to get聽 document authorised (you'll need to bring your passport with you for this)

Hello, the dealer can do the registration for you without you present but you would need to give them a POA (needs to be notarized at a notary) authorizing them to act on your behalf.

We done this with Skoda dealer as we could not be available on the day.

The dealer will charge a fee, cannot remember how much and the notary was only 6 levs, ( could not believe that cost lol).
