Are you married and a UK taxpayer, does you or your partner use all of their allocated tax allowance.

Did you know if you do not use your whole allowance you can transfer up to 10% of your allowance to your partner and you can claim back over the last 4 years you could get over a 1000 pounds rebate.

Follow the government link to see if you qualify.

Many pensioners will soon be paying tax on their pension because the allowance has not risen for a few years and pension rises are dragging many into this situation

I can confirm this..

And it is worth doing, it increases your tax free allowance, myne has just risen to 13830 for this year.

May not be a lot to some but it's free money.

It's totally outrageous that the UK government not only expects pensioners to exist on a pension which is below the poverty line but also then decides to claw back some of the pittance they receive in the form of income tax.聽 Somehow, though, I doubt that Labour will change anything when/if they win an election....

For me the only difference between them is the colour of their banner.

I used to be all in red but they parrot similar to what the blue team say.

I just hope it's only to win votes and they are still standing for the workers but I doubt it from what I'm seeing.

Yes the聽 UK pension.

As聽 a聽 friend聽聽of mine聽 pointed聽 out (he gets this comment praise). As it聽 stands and based on聽 37hours .According to聽 our government,聽 the MINIMUM LIVING WAGE is 拢385.54 per week. THE OAP MAXIMUM IS 拢203.85.聽 The point聽 is the聽 pension聽 should match the MINIMUM聽 LIVING WAGE!!.Hence聽聽the聽聽OAP PENSION should聽聽be聽 the same per week 拢385.54 to live....
