I actually think that the cost of living in Estonia is very reasonable. However, it's not as cheap as I've heard it is in the media. Property prices for example are quite high in relation to salaries in my opinion. Here are my answers to Priscilla's questions:

> How much does it cost to rent an apartment/house in Estonia?聽

In Tallinn, the rent for a 2 room apartment ranges somewhere between 350 EUR (old apartment, placed far away from the city centre) to 650 EUR (new apartment in a central position).

> How much do you pay for your public transport tickets (bus, subway, train, tram)?

In Tallinn, public transportation is free.

> Staple food: what do people eat and how much do they pay for basic food like bread, rice or pasta?

Bread costs around 60 cents, pasta or rice - around 2 EUR. In Estonia people usually eat pork meat, potatoes and salad.

>What is your monthly grocery budget?

My personal grocery budget is around 200 EUR.

> How much does it cost to see a physician/doctor/specialist in Estonia ?聽

As an employee, you get a family doctor. If you have any health issue, you need to contact him/her and you will get consulted and advised for free. You can also go to private specialists, but the visit will cost you about 50 EUR.

> What is your children's schooling monthly budget?

I don't have children yet, so I cannot provide info about this topic unfortunately.

> How much does it cost to fill up your car鈥檚 fuel tank?

About 50 EUR.

> How much do you pay for electricity/gas/water etc.?

I live in a A-energy class building, meaning that these costs are very low. I pay about 130 EUR in the coldest month, but usually (in B or C energy class buildings) the prices go up to 300 EUR for a two-room apartment.

> How much do you pay for your Internet/phone subscription?

Home internet and TV is 30 EUR.
Phone subscription 15 EUR.

> How much do you pay for your lunch pack on weekdays?

I usually have lunch out with my colleagues. Prices vary from 3 EUR (for a decent soup) to 8 EUR for pasta an Italian restaurant.

> How much do you pay for an espresso coffee?

That also ranges depending on the place. Could be 2 EUR, could be 5.

> How much do you pay for a cinema ticket?

> How much does a gym membership cost in Estonia?聽

A gym membership is about 40-50 EUR. However, you can get it cheaper if you choose the morning, weekdays package.
