Hello, how can I get a visa to work and live in France and how long does it take to complete the transaction? I want a reply. Is the visa to France free, or is the value of the visa paid at the expense of the nomination? Thank you

You will have to start filling out paperwork online and eventually you will have to go to your local French Consulate fo finish the paperwork. It does cost money. I live near Sacramento and will have to go to San Francisco to the French Consulate in that city.

If you want to come work in France you'll need a work visa (but you have to have a company that'll hire you before you apply for the visa). It's not free.

Then you have to come as a tourist, but you won't be able to work legally. To find a company, you need to look online, either poleemploi.fr or linkedin.fr.
