What is the process if i want to quit job after contact ends.

Hello ,

I have work permit , malta ID card and it will expire soon but i don't have intention to renew single work permit. I am already abroad ,working home office for a while and i don't want to go back to Malta .聽 If the company doesn't apply for the renewal process , my ID card would expire naturally , right ? Should i do something after or can i just continue staying in my hometown ?

Better if you company will send a termination letter with a reason "end of contract" of something like this. Good to have extra paper
