You have answered your question; you need an address in the Netherlands to register with the Gemeente, from which you can get your BSN number.  So, you need to have faith in your ability to find work and invest your own money in finding somewhere to live from which you can register; it's important to check with the owner of your accommodation as to whether you can register from that address as not all addresses are suitable.  I'm assuming you both speak Dutch and have the appropriate HORECA/hotel management qualifications they will be looking for, so you will have no problem finding a job.  If you don't speak Dutch or have any recognised qualifications, then perhaps you need to rethink your strategy.

If your future employer wants to employ you badly enough, they can take you without a BSN, they will just put you on an emergency tax code until you register.  From what you've said, it sounds like they can find enough local staff, so perhaps you need to consider a career change.

No qualifications as such and we do not speak Dutch ,which makes things alot harder. I am happy to work in whatever industry and so is my partner .I have always loved Amsterdam as a city and the lifestyle which is why I am looking to move but the odds are against us 😢

Perhaps cast your net a bit more to the east; Amsterdam is very expensive. The Dutch are big on qualifications, with many jobs (like hotel work) they have to have people with the correct diploma. You're really looking for unskilled work, but you're not going to be able to afford to live in Amsterdam on unskilled wages (). I always look at it like this, to get a decent job anywhere in the world you need 4 key things:

• Relevant qualifications
• Relevant experience
• Speak the local language
• Luck

How many do you tick off? You can do the maths and come up with the answer yourself.
