My boyfriend now a fiance( Norwegian) got engaged on our 2nd month and we are soon going to the Philippines (coz i am working here in Qatar, and he's in Norway) on our 7th month and we will apply for a fianc茅 visa. Is there a chance that we will be deny because we have only short span knowing each other? Thanks 馃槉
I would suggest to wait a bit longer before apply to be on the safe side.
It will also give you guys more time for each other.

you do know that you are both in the early stage of relationship which is why you are so fire up to be together?聽 This fire will die off slowly and THEN you will know if you two are meant to be together.

I have applied for the fiancee visa.
Dianey07 wrote:Hi everyone! I have a question. My visa says that Duration of Stay is 30 days. Does that mean that I have to travel to Norway within 30 days from the time my visa has been approved? Please guys. I need your advise on this.
Thanks!
Hi, duration of stay is how many days you are allowed to stay here in Norway (or any Schengen state) and the Validity of your visa is also stated in your Schengen visa as well.
sample format in the visa is like this:
聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 VISUM
VALID FOR聽 聽 聽 聽SCHENGEN STATENE
FRA聽 聽 聽 聽 聽01-09-15.聽 聽 聽 UNTIL 01-09-18
TYPE聽 聽 C.聽 聽 NUMBER OF ENTRIES聽 MULT. DURATION OF STAY 90
ISSUED IN聽 聽MANILA
ON 01-09-15聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽PASSPORT NUMBER EAxxxxxxx
SURNAME,NAME XXXXXXXXX
REMARKS
XXXXXXXXXXXX
SO in this sample it means I have multiple entry to Schengen member countries with a total of 90 days stay.聽 Fra is from Sept 1,2015 to Sept 1,2018 I have my visa valid to travel but I am only allowed to stay maximum of 90 days every 180 days rule ( thats because of my MULTIPLE ENTRY classification of visa)
Check your visa details carefully. If it says in the validity of your visa is fra 1-9-2017 to 1-10-2017 then you need to travel here right away. It really depends on the validity date so I can not explain specifically in your case thats why I made a sample.

Hi! Thanks for the info. 馃槉 I think it would be better if I call the embassy and hear the answers from them directly. I just want to make sure because I still have a lot of things to do and so little time. Planning to go to Norway next month.
Dianey07 wrote:I have another question. For fiancee visa holder do I need to get a travel insurance? I appreciate all your help guys. 馃槉
You always need travel insurance.
AXA
Standard Insurance
Blue Cross
I personally experienced ordering and paying online with Bluecross when I was travelling back and forth here in Norway.
The medical policies must state the following points :
1) Medical attention and treatment will be given in case of illness or accident
2) The injured or ill traveller can be transported home for treatment + body repatriation in case of death
3) The insurance coverage is a least 30 000 euros (50 000 US dollars)
4) The insurance must be valid for all 25 Schengen member states which should be listed on the policy
5) The insurance company must be re-insured, the name of the re-insurer and his TOLL FREE phone number must be listed on the policy
6) The policy must allow CASHLESS SETTLEMENTS of claims. The name of the company in charge of such settlements and their toll free number must be clearly stated on the policy.
NB : no company working on reimbursement basis will be accepted. Cashless settlements only.
