I am currently exchanging my licence and I have used the date of my SEF interview. The temporary residence card gives two years from that date.

Did you have your medical for the application?

You need your SNS number first before you have your medical.

Yes I had my medical for the driver's license, but did not need the health number as I went through private insurance.

Wish I had known that as I have private too

I was getting started with the IMT request for driver's license exchange, and they want me to declare what day I established residence in Portugal.
From my point of it, I kind of oozed in over a period of about six months. Took possession of a house? Arrived on a residence visa? Received (a receipt for) título de residencia? Probably doesn't matter a lot what date I pick, but maybe it does?

You'll need to count the day of your SEF appointment, where you resident permit was approved.

@Debs19 I know I need a NIF but I don't know what is the SNS number?
