Struggling to find a Portugal visa appointment from London — any tips?

Nicole Kidman

Hi everyone, I’ve been trying for weeks to book a Portugal visa appointment through VFS, but it always says no dates available. Has anyone managed to find a slot recently? Is there a best time to check or any trusted agency that can help?

I think you just have to keep on trying.

I had the same problem back in December / January / February.  I finally got so fed up I did some searching online, and some people on reddit suggested signing up for Signal and hiring a bot that sends notifications when appointments open up.  I did that, and after a couple of weeks I received a notification that appointments were available and I was able to book 3 appointments, all within a few hours of each other.

I was actually on a zoom call with my lawyer when the notice from the bot came in, and a person from their staff who was on the call started booking appointments as soon as I told them they were finally available.  :D

The whole thing felt sketchy, but it worked.  Alternatively, you can just keep checking.  In my experience, once appointments become available it takes a couple of days for them to fill up.  You probably can just check once or twice a day.
