contacting immigration agency in Portugal

asela28sl

Hello,
I've been looking for a particular type of visa category called D7 visa. I contacted the immigration agency via e-mail that located in Portugal. They asked to pay 123 euro for the consultation session.  Was that amount fair?

I think that is a private immigration agency (there are many of those, each offering to assist for a fee) but that isn't the Portuguese Immigration "Agency", SEF.

How to apply and documentation required should be given on that site.  It ought to be possible to apply without going through an agency or lawyer.

Each private Agency can ask whatever they wish and I'd guess that cost isn't particularly expensive if they ultimately provide what you are seeking.

It may, however, only be an initial fee and if you then wish them to manage, collect and put through your application it could easily be many multiples of that cost.

Thanks for the reply friend. I'm a freelance software engineer. I've been looking at some youtube videos on this regards and contacted the agency. Is it possible to apply for the D7 visa by myself without any support from the lawyer? Is this an online process?

Hello,
This visa application can be made online without third parties involved. Due to the entry restrictions still in force, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, this system currently only processes national visa applications. But you can register, see the options available, ... During this first quarter, everything is very complicated. Let us hope that things will be better :)

The e-VISA is the platform of the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs aimed at simplifying visa application procedures.

Visa applicants receive a personal access code that allows them to follow up the process online, broken down into four stages:
1. "registered application" / "pedido registado"
2. "application under examination" / "pedido em análise"
3. "application granted or refused" / "pedido deferido ou indeferido"
4. "visa issued" / "visto emitido"

This e-Visa Portal is available in the following languages: Portuguese, English, French, Ukrainian and Russian.
