American Moving to H枚llviken With Family
Hello I鈥檓 new here- I鈥檓 from Atlanta GA and we are moving to H枚llviken just outside of Malm枚 in July.
My husband is Swedish and our children ages 10 and 8 speak Swedish.聽 However I do not.聽 While we do have some family there, this will be a fun but I am sure hard transition.聽
I was hoping to find an expat community in the area.聽 Would love to have some connections when we arrive!

|Hi! H枚llviken area is beautiful and lovely in summer, although I believe that a lot of people you'll find there in summer are only there for the summer months, it's pretty deserted in winter. Kind of like a vacation town. Of course there are people who live there permanently, but I haven't met any expats who do so. We spend a lot of time in H枚llviken since our little sailboat is there, but we live in Malm枚 because of social life, not too bad of a drive from H枚llviken! I can recommend checking out the GGI Malm枚 Facebook group (girl gone international) for women of all ages connecting and ask this question there too. Same for 'The English Speaking Malm枚 Dwelling Society' group, a good place to ask this too!
