New here, not so new to Kuwait

So i am not so new to Kuwait, having been here for 2 years, but this is the first time i have come across this forum. I used to live in UAE and was a frequent poster (and a moderator) on abudhabiwoman.com (badly named on start up as also included men) so i am pleased to find that there is now something similar now here in Kuwait.

As i mentioned i have been in Kuwait for 2 years and have made some great friends, but as with The UAE it is a very transient place and as a result i am finding that the good friends i have made are moving on to their next adventures.

I have been lazy recently and not really stepped out of my comfort zone to try and meet new people, but i have realised its time to take the bull by the horns, take the leap of faith and open the door to my box and start meeting new people again.

I realised recently at work that i sounded like a sad puppy when i said that i felt a bit lonely at times now that so many of my friends were leaving, and i felt a bit like i was begging for them to go out with me when realistically i dont actually want to socialise just with people from work, i want to meet other people.

So here i am raring to go, and to become an active participant on this forum, as i have learnt alot since i have been here, and it would be nice to be able to share it.

And sometimes people say i talk too much.........

lol, ur stirring up quite the storm there!

social life in kuwait is like farming; u get what u put in.

the name of ur post was very intriguing as there just so happens to be a group similarly named on a different site - meetup.com, new and not so new in kuwait, and these peeps meet up regularly for outings etc. so, there's the first thing u should do; sign up there.

2, the weekly ad rag known as EEK (abcq8.com) has the latest going-ons in kuwait in terms of recitals, concerts, exhibitions and parties etc. as well as a bitchin' classifieds section for expats moving out of kuwait and looking to offload a few items at bargain prices.

and those are the ingredients to an active social life in kuwait.
