Some of the locals are pretty open-minded, as there are a lot of foreigners already in Qatar. However, its still nice to show respect to their culture. Keep in mind that although a woman can wear revealing clothes in bars and clubs at night, it still is inappropriate to be wearing short shorts and miniskirts in malls or in public places. Sometimes, people will also look at you and your significant other when you show public display of affection as marriage is the only accepted for of relationship between men and women. They still do not allow living together if you are not married although there are some who get away with these things.
