My friend got the letter of offer to HMC and the nursing grade 108. Does anyone know what benefits come with this grade, e.g., specifically what kind of accommodation, medical cover etc. should one expect? And what is the initial process? Specifically two questions here:
1. How long does it take on average between receiving the confirmation of a processed visa and actually travelling (i.e., air ticket is ready)?
2. How many days does it take on average to get the work permit and begin working after arrival, and does one get received from the airport and accommodated from day 1?

Hi guys...the last time i heard from my HMC ibm recruiters was 2 months ago. Still awaiting for an email offer since they discussed to me via phone call my salary and benefits. I received an email from hamad giving me a person for my point of contact. I tried to email this person but no reply since then (2 weeks ago). Does anyone have an idea how long does it take to receive an offer letter? Thanks guys

Hi:
We are on the same boat.
Skype interview in september.
Since that date, I dont know anything.
My IBM contact (recruiter) did not answered my last email.
4 days ago email from HMC "you have a new point of contact".
But my new point of contact did not answered my email, neither.
I am also waiting for any feed back since the interview.
Just be patient and wait.
I will like to know what means in all the process, this new point of contact,
is a good thing? do not mean anything?...
If any one can give to us any new advice....

I have also been sent an email regarding new point of contact and is also not sure what this means??? I have emailed the new HMC contact but yet to hear from then and has been over a week now.

Wah the same thing ,this point of contact daent answer email,am also confused,any one who knws what is happening or hmc has restructured its hiring processes and onboarding team members

Hi nurse here in KSA, I already have my visa since November 4, 2016, got hired by IBM last June 2016, received my offer letter october 2016, started my data flow and completed it on November 15, 2016. My visa will expire on May 2, 2016. The problem is my new point of contact from hamad HR is not responding.

Maybe the best thing to do is contact the previous ibm recruiters rather the聽 new contact point., just to let them know whats happening. Same here they are not responding!

I emailed my previous recruiter and was not getting any replies back then I emailed this other recruiter which I found from an out of office reply and was told it is now the responsibility of HMC new point of contact to get in touch with their clients as during this transition phase they pass on our applications to them and it is their responsibility to contact us. She also said it maybe early next year till I hear anything. More waiting I guess...

I emailed the one who emailed me about my new point of contact ( not the recruiters) and they finally responded. She said that they have just forwarded my papers to my new point of contact so they will highly appreciate my patience right now. Atleast theyve finally responded.

I saw this in other discussion in this forum, maybe could explain what's going on:

"...I heard HMC terminate Contract with IBM, and all ongoing processes handed over to HMC for further assistance, all candidates from IBM are trying to make contact with HMC but there is no answer from them."

Just a theory...

Hi,

IBM started to call me last Sept 9, provided my CV,聽 certs, Passport..had a phone interview,,had an online exams..etc.

And I was been interviewed last Nov 8 here in Qatar and last Dec 1, IBM sent me an email too that I have a new point of contact, Sent an email to my new point of contact and replied back that I am being reviewed by the Hiring manager

Until now, still waiting for their new advise

i hope thats a theory which is not correct ,for i think all recruits from IBM will be in another long waiting process,
For those who has gone through and already working at HMC,do they have any ideas of whats happening,

Same issue with you. I don't know why they wouldn't answer back any email. It seems not fair to leave us hanging by a thread thinking what is happening with the application process.

i guess for all who are waiting for response from HMC,will be a waiting tiresome period,if you are in Qatar ,ie,local hire,go to there offices,recruitment hr,alsaad,take yourself physically ,talk to them,they wunt bite,explain your situation,where u are and they will advice u further,.
"Accomodation provided' means exactly as spelt,HMC will give u accomodation,will house you,give u ahouse to stay,thus ,your House allowance will be deducted,if included in your offerletter,so your basic+house allow+transport allowance=()minus now your house allowance and transport allowance,.,..thus what accomodation uprovided means in simple maths

Hii bjen, id advise you to be patient, if they sent you the visa, they will definately send the airticket too..i believe thrs alot of "paper work" involved and finding you appropriate accomodation..dont worry your visa will not expire before you are in Doha..

Just wondering if anyone has had any news or update since the 'new point of contact' email...nope guess we all still waiting. I have sent a few emails to this new contact but still no reply as yet. Don't know if anyone knows what is going on? I actually don't mind the wait as long i knew what was going on and had update now and then.

Since I am local hired they do not have much work on visa.

Can anyone guide me Is my offer letter is still valid cos no information from HMC side for last 1 month.

So HMC terminated IBM contract in 2015. They are now in the process of handling internally all hires. This means we need to be patient as it will take them some time to adjust considering the high amount of hires they do every year...

In addition to that, I was informed last week that most admin hires at HMC are now frozen due to oil price drop. They were not able to tell me when they will issue my offer letter, apparently might not even happen in 2016...

I'm glad I didn't give yet my resignation at my current job!

Hamad Hospital Qatar started laying off employees from most of the Department.
(New Joined and Old staff as well)
Suggestion:聽 Do Not leave your current Job/employer until HMC provides you the confirmation visa.

In Future hope to see the oil price to go Up or Qatar Ministry will block the budget with聽 Limited Employee.

I have got offer letter already,and for NOC I already given the resignation to my current employer. and handed over聽 NOC to HMC HR Dep,now in such a ways what can I do???

can they withdrew the offer letter back???

I confirm the lay off plan: Almost 1,000 employees laid off within all departments and all HMC hospitals due to oil price drop. My understanding is HMC is giving them a couple months to pack and then they are done.

If your hiring manager is being laid off (it's both my case and my wife's), I assume it means your hire is canceled and your offer letter probably has no value.

I'm glad I didn't quit my job. Was about too.

Now I understand why HMC HR people never answered any of my emails since November after I received the email pointing me the new contact for my recruitment process. even my hiring manager couldnt talk to them

So this is the end of the adventure for me before it actually started! Too bad, I was actually pretty excited about the new challenge...

I already filed my resignation and will go for exit in a month. I am just looking on the positive side that everything happens for a reason. With all this lay-off plans, I am deeply sad not just for me but especially for those who did not expect this to happen (those laid-off workers) because they also have families to take care of.

Qatar is one the wealthiest country in the world and I'm pretty sure they can bounce back from this. To all who's high hopes are going down, we will just trust that everything will be fine. Have faith!

Hi guys, as i was reading all your comments my hopes just dropped down to the floor...
Same here i was contacting my so called new point of hire since novembr but no reply at all. So i emailed the one who emailed me about this new point of hire last december and they said to be patient!聽 So i did! But still no reply.
I already signed my eoc to my job here in saudi and everybody is so excited for me... (Now all gone in the wind)!
Im just hoping for a miracle. Take the plan B instead?
