I have just done it. My driving license was expiring in the UAE in 2 months. I got my KSA license, and they took the UAE. Renew my UAE driving license, no issues. Of course you should have a valid residency visa in both countries.

I moved from uae to ksa, I was told to convert my usae liscence but don't want to give it up as I am still resident there in uae and will need it on regular basis when I have business trips

Appointment is the tricky thing..you need to keep on checking Absher for availability.

I got it today hussle free, following documents submitted ,

1. Appointment letter
2. SADAD Payment proof
3. Original UAE license +Copy
4. Iqama+copy
5. passport copy
6. Address proof from SPL
7. Medical (Blood group +Eye test)

if all documents ok you can get it sma time in less than 1 hr.聽
