is it a miracle to to get a job here in Jeddah, for nonsaudi girl ?!

Hello everyone, hope you are very well.

I just found this lovely 大咖福利影院 and registered a moment ago! I enjoyed reading expats posts and i like to share with you my biggest problem since i moved to Jeddah hoping you share your thoughts with me and maybe i feel lucky to make some friends as well!

I moved to Jeddah about 5 months ago because my husband is working here, I am looking for a job here but it is in vain till now :( most of offices and companies are looking for saudi girls only. I studied production engineering in Egypt and have experience of more than 6 years in聽 quality assurance, customer service, and sales support when i was working in my country before getting married. Many told me you can look聽 up in teaching field so I looked for teaching vacancies but they wanted experience in teaching.

Now i feel myself having a boring life and wasting it in a useless way. For wives who have similar problem like mine what did yo do to come over this problem? Unfortunately I am living in a building owned by my husband's company he works in and most of the neighbours here are way older than me and not ready to know new young ones :)

wish you tell me some recommendations or suggestions for having some fun here in this city.

Yes, employers are expected to put qualified Saudis into jobs usually worked by foreigners. Do an Internet search on Saudization.

Cheer up and don't lose your self confidence because sooner or later they will need your experience so don't be panic ;)
thanks alot
True smurfette, this makes it harder for foreigner workers' wives to find a job because most companies require saudi females only to increase the percentage of saudi employees even if qualifications are missed because of some restrictions by the ministry ...I called many companies here because some job vacancies were suitable for me due to my study and career experience gained while.working in my country but they apologized because I am not saudi. However I do understand the ministry's point to encourage their local females to.get involved. Anyway wish me luck :)
Thanks for ur passing by here :)
Thank you Dr. REX, I needed to read such encouraging words, wish me luck ;)
Thanks alot.

Yes, it is only fair even though it means the best qualified candidate doesn't always get the job.聽 I'm sure it's the same in your country--if you and I applied for the same position, you'd get it if I wasn't a citizen.

But chin up--you never know.聽 My advice is to keep trying those schools!!聽 Somebody may quit and they may have a sudden opening and overlook your lack of experience.

Good luck!
