My husband has a lot of cases in his hospital these days. He is American boarded in Pulmonology and Critical Care.

Hmm what you might not know or want to know is:
The test for this virus has a high false negative result. He has two in ICU on life support who test negative but after analyzing the strain in the lab it matches. The inaccuracy rate is about 40% unfortunately, which is to be alarmed about.聽 They are really taking care of themselves at the hospital, but there are many accidental exposures because of many issues.聽 Physicians and staff are getting this virus.聽

There are differing opinions on whether masks work to prevent or not from acquiring the virus.聽 My husband says take precautions, change mask frequently, particularly if soiled (from sneezing, coughing, secretions otherwise) so you don't get a lot of bacteria growing in a moist area.

If anyone is sick, stay away from others at all costs.聽 This country is not equipped to handle an epidemic. There is no cure, no vax. No real treatment either. They try to do many things but ultimately it's just whether your own body is able to survive it.聽 It's very sad.聽 People at the hospital are extremely depressed.聽

Take very very good care of yourself as to not acquire any other illness which may make it harder for your body to fight off this illness if God forbid you did get it. Mortality rate is 60ish percent among healthy people.

I don't mean to freak people out, but I think people should know that this is something to take seriously and avoid risks. Wash your hands, keep sanitizer with you.聽 If the clerk is coughing all over your stuff just leave it and go.聽 This happened to me the other day at Danube. I wanted some pencils and the guy was hacking all over them when trying to give to me.聽 Common sense.

i work in a hospital as well, and sadly, the kind of information you posted is something that is not put in the news here. I read arab news, and another broadsheet from my country online, and there is no information about this situation

I have met people who think that others are just exaggerating things... and they are not being cautious trying to get on with their lives, almost neglectful attitude.

perhaps, when they witness the hardships a patient must go through when struck with this illness, only then they will understand that this is serious.
