tattoos, earrings and heavy metal tshirts

Hi everyone,
I have several tattoos on my forearms, earrings and a huge part of my wardrobe are Heavy Metal/Rock bands t-shirts.
I understand tattoos can't be shown . What about earrings? I was also told Heavy Metal t-shirts were frown upon. Is this accurate?

Hey Gustaf,
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Well i knew that tattoos were kind of offensive to the locals and even heard from one of my friends that he was remarked by a local ,at a supermarket.But stuff related to the earrings聽 i dont think these might get that much attention聽 as compared to a tattoo(this is just a hunch) but then again you can remove the earrings or any piercings before going to any public places .And coming to Heavy metal t-shirts ,yes it is true they might get you in some kind of trouble depending on the graphic nature .(The religious police warns the young adults from times to time ,not only about the graphical t-shirts but also regarding the whole attire is supposed to be "Culturally Modest").

But i dont know these are my views ,lets see what other members have to say .

All of the three are considered odd and unacceptable by the local culture, that being said it does not mean that you cant wear or have them or that all the society doesnt tolerate it. I have a friend who is wearing ear gauge/plugs and have been for the last 5 years with no issues (only the regular loooong staring)聽

. I also have many friends with Tattoos, but they only show it in places where they know that people will be Cool about it.

Now for the Heavy Metal, your main concern is that you dont want to be mistaking for being a member of a Satanism group or an Emo. The majority of people here especially Motaa聽 will not know the difference.

Every few seasons, Heavy Metal t-shirts聽 will be in style and you can buy it from few shops here and there, but many graphics will be off limit.
