Officially you can't roll back. Only way is to jailbreak which i wont recommend. Wait for a fix by apple. I am also in same situation.

Tried it this morning - worked fine on my 4G iPhone. Gives turn by turn directions. Some were wrong (impossible turns) but in general it was accurate.

Google Maps now available in iTunes for the iPhone, iPad version not yet out, but you can use the iPhone version for iPad as well.
