I am going to be teaching in AD or Al Ain this upcoming school year with ADEC.  I got hired through caneducom.com.  Wondering how things are there?  I am a single mom with 2 children in middle school.  I think I may be living in Al Ain as they say it is better for families and single women.  I would love any info. you may have to offer me. Thank you and good luck with the teaching.  When you say "stressful" at school, what do you mean exactly?  I am curious to see how it would differ from teaching in the inner-city here in the USA. Thanks again

I am married with a 17month old son, that my husband will be looking after to allow me to work. I too have worked in inner city school in glasgow, some of the most deprived areas, it cannot be any more stressful than that surely?? Veronica

Well if you don't mind making the journey over to Abu Dhabi then you're more than welcome in joining us. I've just started something where every week people from ´ó¿§¸£ÀûÓ°Ôº meet up and have dinner together or go watch a movie or something like that. Anyone and everyone is welcome.

I was initially in Al Ain for the 2.5 half months, but I have since moved to Abu Dhabi.

Well Jack we will be meeting up every Friday. This Friday we are going for a meal to a Lebanese restaurant, and one of our members also suggested bowling and then to top it off there is nice place over here, which we found last week, where we can get some ice cream/desserts, and those who would like to do some shisha they can also do that.

Please let me know if your interested and I'll keep you updated about this Friday.

Welcome to the UAE, I was in Al Ain for nearly three months and I really enjoyed my time out there. However, I have since moved to Abu Dhabi.

If you and your husband ever wish to explore other parts of Abu Dhabi and meet new people, then I run an ´ó¿§¸£ÀûÓ°Ôº Meet-ip Group, which will now be meeting up every Friday for meals, movies etc. So if you're ever interested, let me know and I can provide you further details.
