180-Day Tourist Stamp for US Citizens---

deebee123

As you know, a few months ago the Mexican government announced that international travelers arriving at airports in selected cities would be granted an automatic 180-day tourist stamp. This includes Cancun International Airport. So, can any of you from personal experience confirm that this is true or not true? My destination is Merida, but flights from the US to Cancun are significantly cheaper than to Merida. Any insights would be appreciated!

Gracias, Dennis~

Indeed.  I’ve flown into Cancun several times recently and they gave me six months each time, no questions asked.  I was through immigration in less than 10 minutes.
