I am excited to start the new year in Papua New Guinea.
I have recently joined my partner here in Port Moresby who already has work in PNG.
Originally I am from Germany but have lived in the Netherlands for the last 2 years.
I am a Project Manager for Operations and Human Resources and am now looking for new job opportunities.

I am looking forward to explore PNG's diving spots and would love to learn how to sail this year. Any recommendations are very welcome!

I'm actually a Papua New Guinean but thought this would be a good forum to get to know expatriates living in PNG and also be of assistance in terms of providing information from an everyday Papua New Guineans point of view. 

I was brought up in Port Moresby, and am from Aroma, Central Province.

I'm not sure about sailng spots, try check out the yacht club....but as for diving locations, I'd recommend Walindi Dive Resort in Kimbe, Tawali Island Resort in Alotau and and Tufi Dive Resort, Tufi, Popondetta.

Greetings!
I'm new here and planning to be in PNG 2nd quarter of 2017 as I'm waiting for the renewal of my Philippine passport here in Manila.

Just came back from Beijing, China working as ESL teacher in an International Montessori in Beijing together with my Filipina wife for 8 long years.

My son is born also in Beijing, China who is now grade 3 student and
a 9 years old at age and studying here in the Philippines.

I'm thinking and praying to the Lord if someone will offer me any job offer together with my wife. Any opportunity to start living again as Expat in a foreign land. We came back form Beijing, China last July 2014.

But to my amazement, we missed life abroad and living with Expats and other nationals. We are a "full gospel" born again Christian and we want to live and work in Papua New Guinea as we learned and wanted to see this beautiful place created by God.

I was born in goroka and moved around growing up.  My family finally landed in Toronto.  I will be visiting png in july and im looking for some help in regards to transportation and places to see. 
I am looking for the best way to get from port moresby to goroka and any suggestions to stay in between.

Hi all.
I have accepted a position and expect to be on the ground in POM late March early April 2017, depending on my visa.

This will be my second stint working and living in POM. It has been a few years since I was there last and this current contract will go for approximately 2 years. I enjoyed my time previously and found POM quite a friendly place. I got around ok, I didn't venture out too much at night unless with a group. With my previous employer I got to travel a bit, Bulolo and Lae mainly. It was good to get out on weekends and head to places along the coast not far from POM.

I will be working as an adviser on a couple of construction sites around POM. At this stage I will be living in Waigani, so pretty close to most things.

I am looking forward to returning and hopefully catching up with some old friends and making new ones.

So if you want to say hi, catch up for a beer or a coffee or do something on the weekends or possibly evenings give me a shout and I can pass on my details.

I've worked in Dubai and Abu Dhabi for more than a year.
I was offered a Telecom Engineering job in PNG, I don't have an idea yet where my workbase will be but most likely it will be in POM.
I would like some insights about the security in PNG (in general) since I'll be going around in the field. And also, what salary range can I expect them to offer me? and the offer inclusion?

Hi I am moving to POM for a 3 year contract in about 6 weeks. Looking forward to meeting new people and the challenge of the new job. My wife and son will be joining me early next year. Am currently looking for a place to live so any tips on good locations etc would be appreciated. Thinking of a 3 bed apartment with views and complex needs a pool and gym. Any help appreciated!

Living light Foursquare church at Kaugere has a number of programs we could use volunteers for, including a school, medical clinic, we feed up to 400 children and youth twice a week, there is a widows and single mothers ministry and more.  Please private message me if you are interested. I have been to 2 Goroka shows now in the early 1980's. I lived in Kainantu and then Goroka when working on the Highlands Highway.
I recommend the show as it is a spectacular event.

I am an early childhood educator and Playgroup coordinator  with long experience in main stream and Waldorf/Steiner education. i feel passionate in empowering children to do their best.
I am a professional, internationally award winning  Storyteller (traditional oral storytelling) and creative workshop facilitator. I love to use narrative to empower children with low literacy to shine as they get to find, create and share stories.

I would love to work in community, education or someone's home.
When in POM I live like a local and use public transport and connect with the community I am in.
I have accommodation at friend's house. I have a driver's licence for manual etc
