I麓m currently living in Germany but by October 2010, I would like to be residing in Argentina.. anywhere for that matter! I currently teach English to kids, tutor, work in an English bookshop and nanny. I麓ve also worked in a restaurant and can write a bit. If anyone knows a job that is available, please let me know!

You are more than qualified to do a few different jobs here! Do you have a TEFL certificate? Usually the institutes here only care about that, but with your experience it might not matter. It helps if you speak Spanish for working with kids though. As far as teaching English, nobody will offer you an interview until you have already arrived in Buenos Aires. Be aware that the school year is from March to December so classes in October will be sparse.

You probably need to get a visa to work in a bookstore (I still don't understand the whole process haha!) - but there is a bookstore on every corner!!!

There are also lots of writing jobs online, but I've never heard back from any of them. You might be able to contact the "the Argentimes", the English newspaper, for openings.

Don't worry too much now, it will all come together when you arrive!

Yeah, I do have my TEFL certificate.. I currently don麓t have it at the moment though.. accidently got misplaced.. eek! But I麓m getting a new one soon!

Isn麓t there a 3 month tourist visa that I can possibly work on..I did that over here in Germany but of course, all countries have their own rules. And is it easy to get a visa in Argentina or can you work under the table?

I sure hope everything works out.. thats all that I麓ve been thinking about for the past couple of weeks.

You cannot legally work in Argentina on a tourist visa. However, many people do it. If you want to work on an institute, you will need a valid working visa.

Visas are not hard to obtain if you meet the criteria for one of the visa categories. If you don't meet the criteria, then it will be difficult. Check out the link on visas I posted before and ask if you have any questions.
