Brazilian Visa to enter Brazil

roddiesho

I understand there is a new policy on needing visas to enter Brazil from the U.S., my wife is worried that I need to get one when I go to Florida for my FBI Background Check fingerprinting. I will be leaving next week, and my 90-day extension is up April 4th. I will only be there a few days. I should be all right to get back in the country, but this is a new policy, and she is worried. She wants me to go to the Brazilian Embassy for my visa, but any extra time in Floriday will be expensive. Help!

Thanx,

03/24/23 @roddiesho.   This notice has been posted on the website of the Brazilian Consulate General in Washington, DC, dated 03/17/22:

"The Brazilian Government has decided to resume the requirement of visiting visas for citizens of Australia, Canada, the United States and Japan. The decision was taken after consultations with these four countries on the possibility of granting visa exemptions to Brazilian nationals, in compliance with the principle of reciprocity. The measure will come into effect from the 1st. October 2023."

So, you're ok until October 1.

Somehow, these issues in getting wives in and finding wives conjures me images of an American Series that aired in Brazil during the 70''s.

Gosh, and Fall River was a stone throw where I| hailed from.

Only that in Brazil, the name shall sound like.... Here comes the Grooms!!

Wish the best to this dude, but I can't help to think on how It would be to be on Jason Bolt's boots.
