Thank you for sharing. I'm about to move to Brazil from the USA with my wife. I have dual citizenship. My wife is US citizen and Brazilian resident. Is this lawyer familiar with taxes in both countries - Brazil and USA?

Brazil does not have a totalization agreement with the usa. It also does not have a tax treat with the USA. Go to IRS link below to see all countries with US income tax treaties.  BRAZIL  IS NOT ONE OF THEM.
