Yes, the documentation requirements are extensive, and the聽 Federal Police are strict about them.聽
As others have mentioned, be sure to pay attention to the legalization requirements:聽 聽merely having a document is not enough.聽 聽If the issuing country is a party to the Apostille Convention, an apostille from that country is sufficient;聽 if not, the document must be legalized at the Brazilian Consulate before you can use it.

If you need papers in the Philippines (criminal background) you could send a power of attorney to one of your relatives to obtain that and can even send them to Brazil at your wife麓s residence or to one of her relatives.

Saudi Arabia... You can obtain it there yourself but make sure there is an arabic translator in Brazil that would do it for you... I麓m sure there is because I麓ve seen Middle Eastern people in the forum who are immigrants of Brazil.

Brazil would be the easiest if you lived here before. You could do them on line for the states you lived in...

Robal has聽 good idea. Just e sure to use overnight carrier. Postal in Brazil has strikes and takes a long time to receive things.

Marriage contract and birth certificate it's already translated in Portuguese.

Police record is just for regional use like an employment etc. It should be nationwide like
the FBI background check in the USA. For the Philippines it would be the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

If you could only tell us exactly what country, we could guide you accordingly...

May look for Philippines for sure since that is your passport and still valid for 6 months before applying.

Ok then. Only Saudi Arabia. Easy woozy... They call it Police Clearance and apparently good enough for immigration:

1. Go to the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh so they can make an Endorsement Certificate
for you to the Office of the Director of the Police Dept. in Riyadh. For that Police Clearance, make sure to bring your Philippine Passport, Residence Permit in Saudi Arabia and some SR100 for the fee.



2. Saudi Arabia is not a member of the Hague Apostille Convention so make sure to
legalize the Police Clearance at the Brazilian Embassy - also in Riyadh.

3. When in Brazil have the Police Clearance and other documents that need translation to be converted to Portuguese. I don麓t know if the Brazilian Embassy in Riyadh accepts the Police Clearance in Arabic. Here麓s the link of sworn translators in Brazil (juramentados). Just locate S茫o Paulo.



Just follow the procedure on the requirements needed by the Brazilian Policia Federal.
Make sure to bring your wife with you who speaks fluent Portuguese during your
transaction with them.

And remember, if you麓re running out of time, have somebody mail your papers to Brazil
(overnight couriers) if possible like what Texanbrazil stated. Don麓t do FedEx. It麓s been over a week and I麓m still waiting for my letters. DHL I think would be the same.

There has been a requirement to put CPF (Cadastro de Pessoa Fisica) number on packages coming from abroad to Brazil. If you ever need to mail letters to Brazil, have also your wife麓s CPF placed
about 2 lines below her address in Brazil just to make a safer passage...
