My job requires a lot of traveling and my wife decided to reside in聽 brasil. What happens if i pass the 90 days required ? Do i loose my vitem xI visa?

If you have a VITEM XI, that has different rules from a tourist visa:聽 it has an expiration date, and you're fine until then.聽 If, in the "No. of Entries" area, it says "Multiplas", you can enter and leave Brazil freely during the validity shown on the visa.

You should file the necessary documents for your CRNM ASAP, because as Tex says, it may take several months for the card to be issued.聽 I had mine in a month back in 2017, and that was the fastest I've ever heard of - and of course, pre-covid.
