My expenses are about double that. But I live in a high rent building, pay the rent and live very comfortably. No car though. It depends if she鈥檚 paying the rent and what your lifestyle is.

YES SHE IS聽 PAYING THE RENT AS SHE WORKS聽 WAS HOPEING MY MONEY WAS GOING TO BE JUST FOR GOING OUT

You should be fine. If you are in town you may want to check out Gringo Tuesdays. You can meet expats there and get some ideas. When are you moving?

If you are "hoping" that all you will pay is for going out,

that plan can fall apart when unexpected expenses

appear, for example, medical.聽 Are you expecting her

to pay 100 percent of that?聽

Have you had the talk about this?聽 Is she on board

with her paying for everything besides going out?

Or are you gambling that she will not get resentful

over that kind of split?

Pro tip -- do not post in ALL CAPS.聽 It makes it appear

you are shouting at us.

@march9999聽 Gringo tuesdays? Is there an establishment that celebrate that or is it all bars and restaurants that does it?

thanks

According to the Gringo Tuesdays Medellin website (en espa帽ol),

the language聽 and cultural exchange is at Vintrash club in Provenza,

Poblado, on Tuesdays.: Carrera 35, No. 8A-39. Time

is 4 p.m. to 3 a.m. Metro stop is Estaci贸n Poblado.

i suggest contacting the club to confirm as I have not

personally confirmed the above information.

As this is nominally a Bogota-related thread, I should mention

that I have not researched for Gringo Tuesday events in the capital.
