Paying Ecuadorian property tax from USA

I have a property in Tumbaco. My ex never paid the taxes and he has since passed away How can I pay the taxes without going there?

I would try going to a branch of Banco Pichincha near you and seeing if it can be done.  They have a branch in Tumbaco, and although this link does not list Tumbaco, it lists quite a few other branches where you can pay the impuesto predial remotely, from a different Banco Pichincha branch:


Oops, sorry, I did not read the "from USA" part until after I posted...probably, you can't get there from here...

Nevertheless I would email Banco Pichincha and explain,  and ask them if it can be done.  You can try this on-line form to contact their corporate office (you will have to put in some false Ecuador-specific data) and then there is a space for explanation:

@OsageArcher. I tried to call that bank in Miami. They don’t answer the phone listed. Typical!  A friend will go to the main office and ask them. I believe that you have to use a credit card issued by an Ecuadorian bank. Thanks for the help
