I am looking for a welcoming and stimulating place to spend my retirement which would not prevent me from working if the opportunity presented itself. Given that I would be arriving alone with my dog, I would like to get advice and also, very important, make friends there.

I am currently still working in Geneva, but the situation is becoming difficult for cross-border workers. I am a webmaster and publications manager. My working language is English.
When I worked at the United Nations and lived in the country of Gex, which had become unaffordable.
Difficult to make friends, and very long winters. To live well, you need a big salary.... life is expensive.
