ISB vs. St. John's vs. local by GoWings
Hello! We are looking to move to brussels this summer. We're american, but our children (ages 9 and 11) are currently in a French-immersion program. We would like them to attend a school where they would keep and improve their French, meet kids ...
Just a small add-on to what Tervurener wrote: if you go for BSB check if your 11 yrs old would be able to get there - apparently the first bilingual class was created for kids born in 2004. For that class not a problem to get a place (if French is ... Read More

Tervurener, I think you've got the essence of the entire french education system in your motto! So you probably can understand my negative attitude towards French schools, even those in Belgium ;-) I followed your advice to start looking around at ... Read More
ISB or BSB? by nunu10
Hey there :) I'm moving to Brussels soon and I'm having trouble deciding on which school to go to. I've narrowed my choices down to ISB (International School Brussels) and BSB (British School Brussels), but I just can't decide! I'm 14 and I will be ...
Can you visit the schools? Talk to people? (We've opted for the BSB, because they seemed to care more for potential pupils, took time for us, talked to our kids, asked questions and listened to their answers. In ISB we were just part of the daily ... Read More

I love the last sentence of you post ;-) or actually both last sentences :-) I have experience with three national school systems + american attitude to kids + european school in strasbourg. The french system is the one I dislike the most, together ... Read More

tervurener, I don't know what I did to deserve such an aggressive replay (have seen the version before you've edited it) - you don't know who I am, what my experience is, how rich (or poor) I am....... Yes, I got spoiled in Strasbourg - no traffic ... Read More

well, having read the posts above and having visited the schools myself I don't have much hope...... I know there is bsb (costs a fortune! especially for three kids) or isb (again fortune x 3) or nothing around brussels which would offer education ... Read More
