We purchased an apartment in Arma莽ao de P锚ra in September 2013. We did not choose resident status because it is not of real interest to us, which forces us to return to France after 182 days to comply with the law in Portugal and, in any case, the laws risk changing and becoming less advantageous for residents. We really appreciate the Algarve and its warm and friendly people, not to mention the always good climate. Of course, we don't know everything and we will surely need advice to best integrate into our environment. In short, we found a host country to live out our retired winters in the best possible conditions. Walks, friendly meetings, discoveries, music (I'm a musician), DIY... that's our daily life. All we have to do now is learn to speak Portuguese!
