About

My wife, Joan, and I retired in 2007 and moved to Pozna艅 so I could get to know about the family that remained in Poland when my great grandfather immigrated to Poland in 1900. We spend our time traveling around Poland, visiting with relatives, studying the language and enjoying our life here. I write a daily blog of each day that I started in 2006 before we left America. In the blog are all the things we have learned, the trials and tribulations of becoming a permanent resident in Poland, insurance company problems, car insurance, renting a flat, setting up bank accounts, buying food, buying a car and everything you would need to know if you are planning on making a move here. I use a Canon digital camera and take pictures of everywhere we go and anything I think might be of interest to my readers, like setting up and furnishing our new flat.
Interests: travel, , polish culture, history, old palaces, manor houses, genealogy
