My husband and I are looking at a five year plan to move to Panama and retire. We currently live in Roswell, NM and work in the floor covering business. He is partially retired and is 12 years my senior. We would like to buy/live in a three bedroom three bathroom house in the Boquete area with a little land, we will be bringing two Golden Retrievers (not necessarily in the city itself). We would like the purchase price to be around $150,000. We will have approximately $2,000 of disposable income a month after the purchase of the house. My mother will probably come with us to live. How is the expat community of Boquete? I have lived overseas extensively as a child, mainly SE Asia and Africa, my husband has only been to Mexico (Juarez). We enjoy reading, surfing the internet, being couch potatoes with our dogs, movies and the beach. I would like some information about the area, troubles that you currently have, troubles that you had relocating and any other information that will help us make the last move of our lives.
