My expat journey

Milwaukee, Mexico
I used to sing and do lots of community theater, and knit. Now I find that doing for others is my greatest joy. I volunteer teach ESL to Latinos. My faith is very important to me, and I have been very blessed.
Admin Asst at a private medical college.
The autumn is a very nice time of year, but too short!
The cold! Bad drivers! High taxes! Life is too complicated here.

I've been living in Guadalajara for over a year now and I pay 2700 pesos for a room in a nice house, everything included, incl. washing machine and Internet. It certainly is possible to live here on $1000, which is over 10,000 pesos. I earn about ... Read More

Really want to move to Mexico in the next few years. have not decided on location, although I have been to Jalicsco and love it. it all depends on the financial piece. But am interested in developing real relationships with locals and expats alike.

Hi folks, I am moving to Guadalajara, Mexico on Jan. 15 and I am bringing my cat (thank you, God) and my fave Jane Austen novels. I am also very social, but I could use some new pen friends! I detest getting lonely, and I know I will go through it, ... Read More
