I am French, I lived in the Grenoble region for a long time and after a professional stay in Cotonou, I was seduced by Benin. I have been there since January 2014 and I like it. It is totally different from the other countries in West Africa where I have been able to go there for my work (Cameroon, Gabon, Ivory Coast, etc.). The people are very sociable and there is no feeling of insecurity when walking alone in the city in any place. Jogging, along the beach, going out, evening and traveling in the country without any apprehension. I am considering moving there for retirement and I am already starting to look for land or a house depending on the geographical location.
