Engineer with initial training in mechanics and a two-year specialization in management and organization of quality, safety, environment. My course could be summarized in two main parts: - a first part more oriented towards quality, safety and environment functions. This period allowed me to have a transversal vision of companies, and to perfect my technical and relational skills. It was particularly during this period that I acquired the status of expert in certifying companies, that I handled the various construction and welding codes (CODAP, CODETI, ASME, RCCM, EN287, EN288, etc.). One company particularly helped me at this level, it is an American company, a leader in its field (manufacturing of turbines and compressors) and in which I completed my two years of work-study specialization. - then a part more oriented towards business management and management of planned shutdowns. Responsible for the operation of an agency responsible for ensuring maintenance within refineries, I managed the staff, planned interventions and supervised them while developing the agency's potential by canvassing other companies. I reported regularly to the regional director (operating budget, current business, development and commercial potential, etc.).
The autonomy granted to achieve the objectives was very appreciated. Relationships, both during sales activities and on construction sites, also make work enjoyable. Finally, the regular challenges (finding a technical solution, ensuring the achievement of budgetary and deadline objectives, etc.) distill the necessary dose of stress and also constitute a factor of contentment.
By evolving in industries, where not a tree, not a grass grows, where the smells are far from reminding you of the best, the desire for nature becomes almost obsessive. Walks in forests or at sea sometimes become beneficial; the sea spray that refreshes your face and the intoxicating fragrances are a real treat.
