I moved to Melbourne in 2009 to study a course and I came with my husband and my 2 yr old son at that time. It was a big adventure for us as it was challenging to be on your own and go through the cultural shock of the western world. I do miss my Mauritian island lifestyle till now. But I travelled through to many areas in Australia and learnt so much about the culture. I learnt to become fully independent from my parents and can fulfill my dreams here.
