Hi there. I arrived in Rio de Janeiro as a postdoctoral fellow. My research deals with the effect of the saudade that the expatriate feels through cultural mediators such as songs that remind them of their country of origin and how that feeling associated with those songs is transmitted to the generations born in the host lands. For now, I am contacting Spanish-speaking expatriates or their descendants in order to analyze a good number of cases for this study.
