Coming as a tourist to the island of Djerba to spend a month of vacation, we, my wife and I, fell in love with the family spirit that exists in the Muslim world. For three years we have become residents in the town of Houmt Souk which welcomed us with exemplary kindness. Will we live long enough to know the habits and customs of this new world for us? We wish to live in the peace and calm that characterize the natives of this island.
