Merchant Marine Officer & Mechanical Engineer. I have received a contract for a multinational logistics company, offshore sector, shipping logistics, and my work will be in Jakarta Kawasan Mega Kuningan (I think that is the place). Yesterday they sent me a communication that the residence and work documentation is approved by the administration and they need to deliver and send me that documentation to travel to Jakarta, first of all, sign the work contract (2 years renewable) and of course, I have doubts about where to live (a safe, quiet place not too far from where I will work, since I understand public transportation is too inefficient, etc. I observed in several forums that expatriates pay for all services at levels 5 times more expensive than locals, and that is frustrating. Anyway, I would appreciate it, if someone can tell me about apartment rental agencies, fun places to visit, for now, I will be staying in a hotel near the airport, for how many days...
