About
Hi! I am an almost-senior citizen who has been researching Bhutan as a place to move. I may not be ready for about two years, but want to have as much information as I possibly can before I make a trip there. My hope is to live there for about 4 years, possibly longer if the thought of returning to the States after staying in such a beautiful place with such happy people nauseates me.
My work would be remote by internet so, I believe I would be able to do that from anywhere in the world where there is good internet service.
I am primarily interested in information concerning places to rent in a safe community close enough to the "city life" for good internet and cell service. I would like information about how to get cell service that would allow me to "phone home", what the food is like (unfortunately, I can't tolerate curry), the size of a 2 or 3 bedroom apt, and the best places to tour while I am visiting. Should I plan a 2-week stay or would 1 week be sufficient to learn what I need to in order to make a sane decision?
Thank you SO much for this forum and I look forward to feedback from some expats!
Interests: singing, nature, peaceful surroundings
