My expat journey

I moved to UAE in 2008 and was posted in Al Ain. After working for one year, i was transferred to a project in Abu Dhabi. My want to stay with my parents in Al Ain meant i had to shuttle up and down from Abu Dhabi everyday, thereby dedicating 3 hours of my daily schedule to the road.

What i absolutely love about UAE in general, is the harmony and the peaceful life this place offers. This, inspite of people from multi cultural backgrounds, different religions and different parts of the world living together.
My tight schedules at work, coupled with the one day weekend has meant i have found it very difficult to have spare time off and make friends outside my job.
Since i spent most of my life in India, i had to leavebehind some of my most precious friends when i moved to UAE. Though my first 2 years here have been a disappointment on the socializing front. I have not given up hope :D.
Excitedly looking forward to making some real good friends here.!

I have lived my entire life in India before moving to UAE in 2008. After finishing my graduation from Bangalore, I moved to Chennai to work in a Software firm. My 24 years in India have taken me from Bihar & Jharkand in the East to Delhi in the north, Bangalore, Chennai and Kochi in the southern part of India.
