Hello everyone!! We are new to this site, so a little introduction is in order. Ladies first: Gwen, 26 years old, I am a nurse in France, qualified 5 years ago; but I also really enjoy traveling and opportunities for new experiences. I am from Aurillac in Cantal (yes, Lagos promises better temperatures!!). Ricardo, 32 years old, masseur-physiotherapist, graduated 6 years ago at J. Piaget University, Silves, Algarve. I am Portuguese, born in Lagos and arrived in Cantal since 2011. As healthcare professionals in France in increasingly difficult conditions, our motivation is fading a little... It is time for us to set up a new project (which is progressing quickly) and to review our profession from a new angle. We know that the French really like Portugal; we would be in a bad position to say otherwise. As a private physiotherapist my objective is to offer home care in the Algarve region, while keeping the same method of reimbursement as in France. As a nurse, I would like to provide therapeutic education courses, in different themes. From the most "medical", to others more focused on well-being. Health is moving more and more towards prevention, we are the own actors of our health.
