About

I am an ex-trucker who drove for over 20 years in Canada and the US. I moved to Denmark 8 years ago (from the time I am writing this of course) after my second divorce to marry a Dane. I always wanted a Great Dane and now I have one according to my wife (she of course is not a dog in any sense of the word). I fancy myself as a bit of a comedian but that view is not universally accepted ;) I love sharing good times with friends but I also like my quiet times alone which was one of the things that I liked about trucking. I was a very religious person until recently but I still maintain a belief that is a very personal matter for me (meaning I don't force my views on other people). I was raised during the 60s so I have that legacy. I was raised in a very conservative religious family but my education was in very liberal schools that emphasized tolerance (although my early education was quite strict with corporal punishment still being the norm at the time both at home and in school). I am now over 60 and have 4 grandkids (all living in Canada). My two children are both well over 30 with lives of their own and contact with them is minimal. My mother is still living (my father died of a stroke 4 years ago at age 83) and other than that I have very little connection to Canada left besides my citizenship and passport of course. All my friends now are a few American people living in Denmark and a network of Danish acquaintances.
Interests: Music (playing and singing not just listening), history (with a view to genealogy), people with physical

Yes I speak Danish now but I didn't when I arrived. I came to Denmark to marry my current wife and before I left my own land, I was led to believe that language would not be a problem. I had the understanding that one could find a job without ... Read More
