Hello, my name is Lastella Andrea and I am a 21 year old girl. I was born in Pinerolo, a small town in northern Italy (Piedmont). Immediately after my birth my parents moved to Carmagnola, also in Piedmont, which is the city where I have spent my whole life up until now. Since I was little I have been a sociable and always smiling person who likes to help whenever possible. When at the age of 13 I had to choose the course of study that I would have to follow during high school, I never had doubts in wanting a school that would prepare me for a future job with children, which is why I chose the professional school in the field of social services. Thanks to this path I was able to carry out two internships, the first of them in a nursery school, while the second in a nursery school. After these two internships I understood that the job of a teacher was exactly what I wanted. At the end of high school I obviously looked for information about university, but, not having grown up in a wealthy family, I couldn't afford the course of study. I started working as a shift factory worker, night carer and babysitter to pay for my studies, but due to family problems I had to use the money I had put aside for my studies elsewhere. I had the opportunity to go to work in Spain 2 years ago, but since my mother had just become pregnant and could only count on me, I gave it up. Later I went to Calabria to volunteer picking oranges, to then see them and donate the proceeds to some orphanages in Peru. I'm moving to Cambridge with my cousin to try to change our lives, as here where we are now we no longer have anything to fight for, but since throwing ourselves down is not for us we want to try to change our lives and since she, having just returned from a three-month experience in Cambridge, was asked to return to work where she has been in this period of time, she asked me to follow her to try to make our dream come true, namely England. And now I'm here trying to change my destiny, finally thinking about myself.
