Austin, Texas, USA

Oct 2014 - Mar 2017

Austin, Texas, USA

Lived on Lake Travis and enjoyed boating with a 2005 Malibu LSV and a 2009 Hobie Cat 16 converted from sail to electric power by Team Scarab to a model called Kona Concept. Enjoyed frequent travel, especially to visit 5 children and 14 grandchildren in Texas, California, Colorado, and Michigan.
Retired.
Lake Travis is a beautiful, clean water, recreational lake with fabulous sunsets in the Hill Country of Texas. People are very friendly and Austin is the live music capital of the United States.
Difficult to find anything I did not like. You soon learn as a retiree not to venture out in rush hour traffic. The high cost of living and desire for adventure were the main reasons for buying a home and moving to San Miguel de Allende, Gto.

Cape Coral, Florida, USA

Jan 2010 - Oct 2014

Cape Coral, Florida, USA

Enjoyed pedal boating on the saltwater canals and watching with wildlife, especially the dolphins and manatees. The beaches on nearby Sanibel Island were delightful to visit.
Retired.
I liked living in Cape Coral and visiting the surrounding cities. A high speed shuttle boat from Fort Myers to Key West made visiting there for a day or overnight a frequent activity.
I liked everything except the high cost of living and the massive people crowds in the winter.

Raised two beautiful daughters with one becoming a Registered Nurse and the other a Speech Pathologist.

Troy was a wonderful place to raise a family and engage in church activities.
When my wife and I became empty nesters it was time to find a small condo.
