About
I have been living and working in Australia (Darwin) for 9 years now and for 2 years I have been traveling regularly to Bali and Jakarta. I am already in my fifties and I am considering immigrating to Indonesia in a few years, either to work there or to retire there (because none of the pensions I would receive from France and Australia will allow me to live properly in either). I have dual nationality: French and Australian.
I got engaged to an Indonesian woman from Jakarta (we have known each other for 2 years already) and we are going to get married in September 2017 in Bali. I started learning Bahasa.
I try as much as possible to integrate as best I can into the country where I live and I avoid my compatriots (sorry but what I have seen and heard from French people abroad shames me, despite the fact that there are good people there I am sure).
Thanks to my fianc茅e and her family as well as Australians (who work in Australia (mining sector) but live in Indonesia), I am learning a lot about this country. Also for some time now, I have been reading this forum and I decided to register.
Thank you for this opportunity to learn more about this complicated but fascinating country. (forgive the spelling mistakes, I have lost the habit of writing in French).
Occupation
I am Employed.
