Fred from South Africa. My partner and I have a British Civil Partnership and been together 1999. Moved over to the UK just after the World Cup Soccer in 2010 and for 39 years in Centurion, Pretoria, but mostly stayed in and around Johannesburg Moved a lot: Spend about 3 years in Devon, Exeter and Teignmouth as our best friends (also South African) lived there. We moved up to the Midlands in Coventry in 2014 and been heer since as we have Family support. My partners family all in the Midlands We used to joke and always said; "Africa is not for sissies!" was I wrong about that. It is hard in the UK.
