My expat journey

Osaka, Japan
Finally got to manage my own household, and felt a lot of stress relieved. Living with in-laws is not an easy way to start married life.
Working up building a network of friends from scratch. I've never attended school in Japan, only been on small trips before living here, so any friends I've made have been just meeting and or from the internet.

It's so easy to get anything you need. English-speaking doctors, English food menus, random shop staff who speak English.
Once you get a bicycle, you no longer need the subway system, and now I understand why there are soooo many parked on the sidewalks.
Kansai-ben everywhere..! Naniyane~
Walk side-by-side and hand-in-hand down Ebisubashi or Shinsaibashi is impossible during the holidays.

Practiced being a Japanese housewife, but didn't like that so much so I decided to get a job.

Beautiful mountains and rivers. Great place to hang out during the warmer seasons. Being able to eat out with the family at any opportunity was very nice too.
When it's cold in Mie, it's really freakin' cold. Usually you have to stay fully dressed in your house, lest you catch a cold. I really don't like the idea of being able to see my breath when I'm inside the house.
